Aaron Seehusen: Best case scenario, when are you back out on the court?

Seimone Augustus: January.

Aaron Seehusen: So, you'll then go back to Turkey to play for Galatasaray?

Seimone Augustus: No. I'm actually in the process of trying to talk to Roger (Griffith) about staying here the entire offseason so that I can rest.

Hey, Seimone... I am so happy to hear you say you're putting yourself FIRST!  Take your time and do it right, Seimone... how ever long it takes.  And I hope Roger Griffith makes it happen!

After all that has happened to you... after all that you have gone through... and throughout everything you are going through and will go through to regain your health and reclaim your command of your sport... you deserve this time to rejuvenate not only your body but your mind and your spirit.

I am so proud of you for making the decision to take the off-season off and rest.  And while I know your fans will miss you this season in Turkey... just as we have missed you this season in America... I know that they're pulling for you... from way across the ocean... hoping for your complete recovery and triumphant return to basketball and to your fans.

Know too that my prays and best wishes are with your father, as well.

And I can't wait to see your new haircut.  Maybe you can blog alittle.  And instead of Turkey... you could enjoy alittle spam. (lol) (lol)  It's gonna be nice to have you on THIS side of the ocean this winter, Seimone... real nice.

Yeah, I enjoy seeing people go down with injuries lol. Swing both ways? Never. LOL. I only swing the RIGHT way. Why are you so obsessed with me anyways? You just can't leave it alone can you? Why do you keep rehashing your nonesense? to keep your name above the headlines? Because you are totally obsessed with me and must comment on everything I say? I know I'm a fabulous person and all, but sheesh, if you focused more on yourself, then you wouldn't have such poor grammer skills. Therapy anyone? LOL.

why wouldnt i be concerned for someones health? what does 'leading her team to a championship' have to do with having concern for someones health? you really need to stop acting like a complete moron. actually don't, its more fun this way. it just keeps showing the forum what a fool you are. lol

Why are you concerned about the health of Seimone Augustus? Didn't you insult her by stating she couldn't lead her team to any championship? She was playing like the MVP until Diana Taurasi who you claim is the best in the world, took her out of the competition, Seimone wouldn't never do that to Diana, a pack of dogs will always be a pack of dogs. Stick together even if you take someone life, stick together with lies. Even with all the evidence showing she took out Seimone, the dogs stick together with their lies, oh Seimone did it to herself, Diana is tough, she can get away with dirty play, she's the best in the world. Only Diana can lead a team with 2 olmypians on it. Diana can't lead Cappie Pondexter any where, Cappie came out of college kicking butt, Cappie won the championship for Phoenix not Diana.

Lynxfan89... I certainly hope that you are right. Coach Jennifer Gillom did not say when Seimone would be heading overseas.

I just hope that Seimone gets all of the rehab time she needs to come back in the same form that she left the game this season.

The Turkish league, the TBBL, begins on Oct. 24th. Maybe Seimone will wait until the second half of the season... after the New Year... like you've said, lynxfan89.

At least, I hope she does.

Dee probably made that interview up in her head like so many other things.

I haven't heard whatever interview Dee is referring to, but Gillom must have misspoke. I'm sure I heard/read in previous interviews where Seimone has said that her goal is to start back playing competitive ball hopefully by Feb of next year. Next month seems ill advised and entirely too soon.

Yeah, the more time she takes the better. I really hope she takes a considerable time off to be safe.

I know for a fact that if you return too quickly from an acl tear, the probability of reinjurying it is about 90%.

Seimone should take the entire offseason off. She should just stay home in the states this year, rehab her knee the proper way and start fresh next June when the wnba training camp starts back up. If she comes back and plays too early, she could very easily reinjure herself to the point that she could never come back fully from it.
