Back to Snow, did she play at Tennessee during the same time Kara Lawson was there?  If so, that might motivate her to come to CT, and if so, the two of them would have good on court chemistry with each other.

She did.  She does not, however, have a job with ESPN, which requires her to live in CT.

Interesting article.  I took think Mike should trade Gruda since she's never around.  As I stated somewhere before, I doubt Jessica Moore will be back this summer with the Sun and I'd take Wauters, Ford, Riley or Snow over Jessica Moore any day.  I think if Tiffany Hayes is available when Mike picks, he'll draft her and cut Hightower.  Hayes is a better player than Hightower and much better offensively because she can score in many different ways.  She would be a great scoring punch off the bench, and reuniting her with Renee, Kalana, and Tina would be awesome.

If the Sun were to get one of those post players to come off the bench (Wauters, Ford, Riley or Snow), that would make for a very VERY formidable front court.  I think Mike really needs to get one of these players.  I don't know which one I'd love to have more.  Wauters, I'm not sure she'll even play this summer, same goes for Ford, but if either are playing, I'd take Wauters or Ford over Riley or Snow.  It would be interesting though to have TWO former Lady Vols on the team.  I wonder how the CT fans would feel about that?  LOL.

I think the Sun are going to be one of the biggest contenders for a championship this summer if they can snag one of those post players and draft Hayes and cut Hightower (who is one of the weaker players on the team).

Oh, and then there is Alba Torrens whom I think is 99% a go this summer and there you have it.  An immensely strong team.

First, Wauters isn't going to play in CT to come off the bench.  Plus, she's a max salary player.  Do you wanna pay a back up post $100,000 to probably not even come back next year?  If she comes over, I have her going to Seattle or San Antonio.  Cross her off your list.  Ford isn't worth the money she wants, but by all means, pay her if you want to.  Riley is a shell of herself and I thought you hated Snow.  Alba Torrens has the Olympics this summer, right?  As long as Harding, Lyttle and McCoughtry are wearing light blue this summer, Atlanta is still better than Connecticut and I expect them to make some changes to improve as well.  Connecticut is going to be good either way and probably top 2 in the East, barring anything crazy.  Indiana is done unless they make a big move and the Liberty can't ever win it as assembled.  Washington, well... enough said.

I know Wauters isn't going to play to come off CT's bench.  The Sun have a lot of salary to give away though, so they could pay her max to come off the bench.  If she came to CT, agreed to come off the bench, agreed to the whatever money they give her, even if it is max, I'd pay her max for a season even if she probably won't come back next year.  At least she gives us a great presence off the bench for one season.  But I agree she won't end up in CT.  None of the big time players want to play in CT because the arena is in the middle of nowhere.  It's hard to attract the big time free agents.

I too know Riley is not nearly as good as she used to be, but in all honesty, she's still better than Jessica Moore, who injured her knee again anyways.  I don't recall saying I hated Snow.  I did say that she has yet to live up to her expectations.  She played great for her first couple years in Houston, but then once she started bouncing around to different teams, it seemed she started to fade.  I thought she was really good in San Antonio, and when she was paired up with Holdsclaw, I called the duo Snowsclaw.  When she went to Chicago last year, she didn't really have a chance to shine much starting in the post along side Big Syl.  I think coming off the bench for CT would be great for the team.

I disagree about Ford not being worth the money she asks for.  She had a stellar WNBA career until her injury in the brawl that Peirson started a couple years ago.  I'm sure she's fully recovered and back to 100% now.  But like Deanna Nolan, Ford annoys me by not having returned to the WNBA when she regained her health.  I know she wanted to come back, but like you said, she probably asked for max salary, and no team wanted to risk it, which I thought was stupid on those teams part.

Pic is me in the middle of Seimone Augustus & Lindsay Whalen. Never thought they'd be teammates when I had this picture taken a few years ago.
