Since the NBA team is the Oklahoma Thunder,the WNBA team should be called the Tulsa Lightning.Or the team could be called Tulsa Tornado.
Why? The new wnba team isn't affliated in any way with the OK Thunder.

Good, if they do use the name Shockwave or even better, Aftershock, then you can all credit me for naming the new team. lol.

I'm still upset about the Shock relocating. I'm not a fan of them i'm just a dedicated fan of the league. The WNBA has lost two of it's winningest franchises in the last two seasons. What next, the La Sparks or Phoenix Mercury disbands or relocates?! I wish they didn't have to relocate and that they would started out like the Dream & Sky did. They could've had like the #1 draft pick and drafted Jayne Appel or Tina Charles, what a way to start a franchise!
But anyway i think their name will be close to the Thunder.

i'm not sure how it is with the wnba but i know for some leagues theyre not allowed to use the original name.

Sometime they change and sometimes they don't. Oklahoma City isn't the Sonics.

Why not keep the name? Teams move in other professional leagues all the time, and they don't change their respective names. The Shock kind of goes with the Thunder anyway.

i hope they have their name somewhat close to the shock, i like shockwave and aftershock, i also like idea of tulsa riot
