EuroLeague Tournament Tips Off Today
Share This:
For the majority of WNBA players, there is no offseason. Once the WNBA season comes to an end, it is time to pack up and head abroad to join their overseas teams. Along with playing in regional leagues, the top teams are brought together in a pair of international competitions - the EuroLeague and the EuroCup.
The qualifying round of the women's EuroLeague tournament tips off today and is the largest of the European club competitions. More than 40 WNBA players will take part in the EuroLeague this season and we will keep you posted here on how the competition is progressing. At least once a week from now until the spring, WNBA.com will offer scores, stats and updates from the EuroLeague and the EuroCup games involving your favorite players from the WNBA. We will also have players check in from overseas to give an update on their overseas adventures. To learn more about the tournaments and find past winners, check out these pages: WNBA Players Currently Participating in EuroLeague* * More players will join teams at a later date, while other players may leave early. This list is accurate as of Oct. 27, 2009.
